Our Mission

We are committed to advancing racial and health equity and justice.

How We Do It

We teach marginalized groups how to reverse their chronic lifestyle conditions using traditional foods as medicine so they may rise up and free themselves of the physical, economic, emotional, and mental limitations that come with managing chronic illnesses.

BIPOC, women, single parents, people with disabilities and chronic illnesses, and LGTBQ face disproportionate barriers to accessing quality employment, pay, promotions, and health care, which impacts their capacity to meaningfully support themselves, their families, let alone their communities.

DID YOU KNOW?

BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) and other marginalized individuals face 4 to 8 times higher rates of chronic diseases for a variety of interconnected reasons. These include:

the policies and practices that maintain racial inequities across society

such as poverty, discrimination, and inadequate access to healthcare

disproportionate level of environmental toxins, such as pollution, hazardous waste, and toxic chemicals

diet, physical activity, stress, limited access to food, and safe spaces to exercise

WHAT ARE WE DOING ABOUT IT

This is why we offer $2,000 scholarships to support the education and job creation of Indigenous people, Black people, People of Colour (BIPOC), single parents, women, people with disabilities, individuals who are economically challenged due to long-term chronic health illnesses, and other racially marginalized groups. The scholarships are intended for the study our Metabolic Nutrition & Detoxification Coaching Certification Program.

  • Open for applications while funding is available.

  • Our Metabolic Nutrition & Detox Coaching Certification program + Small Business Accelerator Program is a combined 6-month program that gives students metabolic nutrition and detoxification knowledge and skills so they can educate and coach patients, family and community members in successfully reversing their chronic metabolic illnesses.

  • The information is requested for post-scholarship report generation only and in no way affects your selection to receive a scholarship. Information regarding gender, ethnic origin, race, health, and marital status is collected as scholarships are limited and our donors have asked that priority consideration be given to students that meet the criteria outlined: Must self-identify as Black, Indigenous or Person of Colour, woman, single parent, person with a disability and/or chronic illness(es), LGTBQ, and/or low income as defined by your country of origin.

  • 1. Black, Indigenous, or People of Colour, woman, single parents, people with disabilities and/or chronic illness(es), LGTBQ, and/or individuals earning low income because we recognize the disproportionate impact of systemic and institutional oppression on these individuals currently and historically. It’s time that we work together to create the systemic change that is needed across the globe and centre the experience and wisdom of these individuals throughout our communities.

    2. Individuals that have limited access to additional funding opportunities.

If you meet the criteria above, we welcome you to apply for a scholarship today.
